IGNITE TALENT LAB is immensely proud to be representing Ashwell Prince, international cricket star and current Head Coach of the Cape Cobra’s/Western Province Cricket Association.
A former South African international cricketer, Ashwell is known for his gritty style of batting and supreme athleticism in the covers. Though a native of the Eastern Cape, he has spent most of his professional sporting career in Cape Town.
Since retiring from all forms of cricket in 2015, Ashwell has kept his finger on the pulse of the game, as a guest commentator, a member of the CSA selection panel and SA Cricketers’ Association, before getting back onto the pitch – this time as coach and mentor.
Ashwell’s experience on and off the pitch, makes him a knowledgeable presenter and speaker, and he delivers a light-hearted commentary, and his personal views on the highs and lows of international cricket, excelling on the field, the power of the human spirit, having a champion mentality, growing mental toughness, managing team dynamics and developing a talent pipeline for future prosperity, among others.
Though, Ashwell’s cricketing achievement have been reported widely, most recently as a star batsmen at Lancashire CC in England, what’s not known to many, is that Ashwell is equally passionate about football and loves “a game of footie” whenever he gets the chance. It is in this area that he sees himself as an agent for change, having established a football development project, which he is due to launch soon.
